| Tracy | Output Transformer Impedence ? Hi I have an original 1959 5E3 deluxe . it was handed down to me from my father. at some point in time the output transformer blew and he bought a replacement from allied radio. The transformer says 10K primary, with a 2,4,8 ohm speaker taps. My question is how does the primary impedence change with differing speaker loads. I am running a 16 ohm speaker at the moment hooked to the 8 ohm load, does that mean the reflected primary impedence is now 20 K ohms, to the power tubes? Tracy |
