Can anyone name ONE current guitar hero who is new? On the other hand, there is a large baby boomer market who grew up with the best guitar players on the planet and they do buy pickups. And they still play (like me). I don't think we'll see the demise of the electric guitar market for a long time though, guitars are still the cool thing to have when you're a teen and kids like gear and quality once they get educated.
