bd	HD Z-90 The most original pickup I have tried so far is the Harmonic Design Z-90....everything else seems to be in the same ballpark. Dimarzio makes some really different stuff but to me they are all bad sounding with poor tonal qualities, IMO. Duncan makes some interesting hotter versions of the same old stuff. I think trying different woods and pickup combinations will yield more of what you are looking for. Even changing bridges, nuts, pot values, the scale of the neck can make big changes to your sound. It seems a lot of guys are going with lower power pups, that will allow you to get real tone differences. I feel once a pickup reaches a certain point they loose their individuality.
