A Journo for "Guitar Magazine" here in the UK had his '62 Fender neck pickup rewound by Kent. The coil became wider at the base of the bobbin which looked pretty crap - like he didn't care too much about the finished product. But more importantly it sounded bland and dissapointed all who heared it. Two weeks ago I liberated this pickup for my Journo buddy by rewinding it by hand. The results are startlingly different from the Armstrong rewind which incidently was aslo supposed to be hand wound. But hey, feel free to try them out and good luck!
