What would that sound like? I thought about the idea of leaving the magnets out before before, but what I came up with was: The magnets give the strings a polarity. So an a.c. field would attract the string, but a piece of metal would be attracted to the electromagnet whether it was northerly or southerly poled. So would that be like pull for both cycles? for all practical experimenting you will want some sort of slugs or iron in the place of those magnets. (another guess) lateron dudes!- eth
