I challenged him to produce this proof, he rejected that challenge, sort of. In any case, he did not make good on his claim of proof - period. I have claimed no world view or belief system that is primarily scientific. All I did was challenge John to produce the proof he claimed to have. He could not, or at least did not. Instead he (predictably) told me that the bible told him so & therefore it was true. Attack what you perceive to be my motives all you want but don't expect me to legitimize your misinterpretation of my motives on the basis that you've typed some alphabetic characters. You claim I have a "narrow little common-sense-based worldview". Fascinating. One challenge to a specious claim & you know my world-view huh? This speaks directly to why I do not admire modern Christianity or its followers. You are all so bloody convinced that the only possible explanation for anyone's challenging you is that their spirituality is sub-standard. What cowardice. And you have the nerve to present yourselves as spiritual. How about this: let's all NOT pretend, but actually BE responsible adults and not make specious claims in public forums & then get all dodgy when you can't come up with the proof you claimed to possess - as if anyone owes you respect for that.
