If we are talking about the same guitar and wiring scheme, the Gibson Jimmy Page has actually two push-pull-volume-pots and thus the pickups CAN be tapped separately. If you are looking for a scheme with only taps, this is very simple. Just insert two different switches that connect the two (or four in many DiMarzios and similar) coil tap wires of your pickups to the ground.
