first gig as a guitar tech

| McCabe | first gig as a guitar tech hey, i'm going out on the road with my friends' band for a few weeks as a roadie/tech. i'm really not a guitar tech kind of guy, i'm just a guitar player that can change strings ok. the guitar player in the band breaks an average of three strings a night, so the few times i've teched for them i've been busy... my question is, does anyone have any advice as to stuff i'm going to need for this? i've got the boss tuner, which is ok but not great. and anyone know of a cheap DI box or some kind of inexpensive way i can listen to the guitars as I tune them? the guitar player plays hollow body electrics... anyway, what would your complete roadie/guitar tech kit look like, and do you have any advice? thanks in advance. this is a great forum btw... |
