transformer lams
Hello

I have not been here for some time. I have a few questions on lams. First I have been building/learning/modding tube condeser microphones. In my learning I have found that the lams used can have a very big effect on the sound. I have heard german and USA 79% Mu, amorophos and what ever the china microphones use as lams. The winding and size matter as well. Another interesting thing is that round loop BH is better, this is from heat or chemical treatments if I understand.

Now here is the guitar bass transfomer questions. Do any guitar or bass amps use M6 or M4? do they use M19? do any comanys tiger stripe the core lams, A mix of M6 and 80% mu? Are any built with 49% Ni The Lams would be round BH I would hope.

In tube microphone you hear every part used more so than in other circuits in the line after them. The biggest transformers that don't comprimise the stray bits made of round BH 80% Mu or amorphous have the greatest lack of sound.

I am thinking of building another 30 or so watt guitar amp and I am looking to buy a GOOD output transformer. OEI stuff looks good any others?
