tommy	Re: why do hammond PT get so hot? It would be interesting to see the temps of the tranny when run open circuit at 115VAC, 120VAC, and 125VAC. This would rule out secondary I^2R losses and just show you how hot the tranny gets from primary I^2R losses and core losses.     Like Wild Bill is saying, they're rated for 105dC, so they could be fine and dandy even if they are hot to the touch.     Chris
