muddy marshall bluesbreaker on bypass mode

jcs	muddy marshall bluesbreaker on bypass mode any ideas what is caausing this? i cleaned all pots jacks,tried a new wall wart and battery...it sounds pretty good when it is on though....     it seems the bypass mode is the problem...any help is much appreciated,i use this pedal a lot!
