Re: Distorsion with TS-9 turned off
The cause is leakage in the FET switching. With a hot signal they are not totally "OFF". This is very common, specially when people mod their TS to "more gain" or "more bass".

It only happens with the Les Paul because it problably has a hotter output.

It doesn't happen with a pedal in front because the other pedal is probalbly attenuating the signal a bit ("tone-sucking").

It problably is worse with old batteries.

Possible cures:

1) always use new batteries or a good power supply
2) change the FETs, you will need to sort among a batch for the ones that will work.
3) convert the pedal to true bypass.
4) turn the volume knob down a bit with the Les Paul.
