Temporary home is here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.castledine/greenfuz/ Beck used a MkI Tone Bender on the earlier Yardbirds recordings, but you won't find a schematic for that. If you build the three transistor MkII you'll be closer than with anything else. The later ('69-'70) Page/Beck fuzz sounds to me more like the three-knob circuit, but only they know for sure. They both had Roger Mayer fuzz boxes as well, and I've seen a few oddball pedals made by Sola Sound, so they might have had fuzz circuits that weren't made available commercially. |
