There are writups on the web on cleaning. I Have a number of 2001s v67s modded both Tube and transistor circuits. The royer mod of the 2001 is a good one, both of my 2001s are modded with a royer like circuit. On the 1006s, I modded a few for myself and friends. Now I am being asked to mod 1006 etc by other people. I might not want to post the mods until I decide what I want to do. In the past I would have given away the mods. FWIW there is alot of info on the web on microphones, Schematics reviews etc.
