Gus	Re: Boosters With a 9v supply x3 is the max gain before alerations to the tone. If you have a scope look at the waveform of a guitar pickup when a string is hit hard. If you want to keep it simple and SS power an opamp with 30v dc. Use a fet input opamp LF356 etc.. .01 uf film cap to pin 3,from pin 3 2.2 meg to +30, from pin 3 2.2meg to ground. try a 10k from pin 2 to + of a 100uf electro or >=1uf film cap otherside of cap to ground. 10k fixed to a 100kpot(wired as a reostat CW increases) one side to pin 6 other to pin 2 100 ohm from pin 6 to output cap 1uf film other side of 1uf use 100k pulldown Power pin 7 ground pin 4. With the 30 V supply and the gain pot gain goes from 2 to 12(just over 20db) It also has a low output Z like a TS output stage Read tech of the TS at GEO. Gus
