I usually cut as many other things off a board as possible. Cut between the legs of the cap too. Anything that makes it easier to de-solder is a good idea. The leads are lightly soldered to the foil inside, and will release before the board will. If one comes off, you can carefully re-solder it to the foil and save it. I have these in my wha pedal and fuzz face clones. Mark
