5F6 Deluxe ???

5F6 Deluxe ???
I have a tweed Deluxe that I bought about 10 years ago. It was tweedless when I bought it and needed a new output transformer. It's since been fixed up and plays but could use a cap job. I thought it was a 5E3. Looking at the tube chart recently I find it says 5F6. The layout is exactly like the 5E3 layout diagrams that you commonly find. All the info I've seen says a 5F6 is a 4x10 Bassman. There is one on ebay right now that's one month later than mine with good pictures, auction # 3756794117.
I thought the number-letter-number code was ment to uniquely identify the model and year of a Fender amp. Did they screw up and mislabel it ? Any other examples ?
