I tried a 1 uF

HowardI tried a 1 uF
That's as close as I could come to finding a 0.68 uF. It sounds great with my Weber Chicago 12(ceramic - closed back). I'm told that this is like a high power C12N (12F150). It really tightened up the bass, and I get smoother highs too. I can still get quite a lot of bass out of it though when I turn the tone all the way down. Right now I'm running it as a head. I'll be building a combo cab soon, and I'm thinking of getting the Weber 12A125 (P12Q). I might want to try the 4.7 uF after I get that speaker. I don't know.

What I'd really like to do is get it to sound like my brother-in-law's brown deluxe. He's running a Celestion Vintage 30 in there, but the amp's been modded by Cesar Diaz so I have no idea what the circuit is now. I've been trying to get him to lend it to me so's I can get a gander inside. All I can say is that amp is like butta.
