Re: Pot values - how do they effect pickup tone?
I bought my Del Rey around '96, IIRC. It had two OBL blade type humbuckers, master volume, master tone. Tone pot pulls up for coil splitting (splits both neck & bridge at the same time). It's built a lot like a Les Paul DC; flamed maple cap on a mahogany body w/ mahogany bolt-on, 25.5" scale neck. The stock pickup had the same problem, but with a particularly nasty tone.
If it's a guitar construction thing, then I don't guess there's much I can do about it except change to a different pickup. That's something I can't do right now, so I'll just have to accept it's limitations.
Thanks for the info.
