Gunno	Re: RWRP Kevin, I tried carpet tape too in the beginning ,so I did a few test first with an empty vulcanized fiberplate bobbin just to make sure it didn't fell off , but it smashed right in the wall after a minute or so , did that 3-4 times at different speeds , same thing happened it eventually fell off. Then I tested a plastic bobbin pickup instead ( a Shadow pup I think ) and it DIDN'T fell off , tried it 3-4 times , same result . So the carpet tape I had was OK for plastic but not for vulcanized fiberplates ( forbon plates ) , don't know why , it just did. I bought double sided tape "3M VHB Acrylic Foam Tape #4910" instead ( Jason recommends #Y4949 in his book ) , if you just are a little cautious when centring the bobbin and when you take it off , take it off slooowlyyyy..... It's expensive though but you don't need so much everytime you wind and it's very convenient. Maybe I'll do something like you too ,Curtis ,some option with screws. Never wrong with having several options!
