I think Fralin in Stew-Mac video said that "he buys the polepieces non-magnetized - that he magnetize them himself using some kind of C-magnet - beveling the polepieces before they are magnetized 'cause it keeps the magnet dust away and if it came magnet dust in the coil it would make he's life hell".   Well , something like that.     Gunno
