| gazza | haven't bought a bass.. yet yo, anyone recommend the best 'cheap' bass I can pickup in the uk ? I'm looking at things like the squires, yamaha rbx etc. I just want something to record with at home on the pc - no gigging. currently might get the cheapest yamaha a rbx170 for about 140 ish mark, or maybe the rbx270 at 180 quid - but that also make me wonder about the squires, peaveys etc. I tried 4-5 different models last week and just ended up confused. I think the yamaha sounded better than the squire - but the squire set-up was easier to play. Wierd thing was the guy in the shop said some cheap guitars play well or play like a dog - you've just got to be lucky. - not a good advert for the shop set-up really ! anyone got an opinion out there ? cheers, Gareth. |
