The best instruments they make come out of Nashville where there's a bit more concern for higher quality. The Memphis instruments are OK, just not the cream of Gibson's product. They are cranking out several hundred instruments a day with a work force that appeared to number around 30. Again, it was an interesting tour, not just to see how they make a guitar, but to understand that it is a production line and not a work of art.
