It is a complicated system and very expensive, and honestly not as good as the Eureka 147 system the rest of the world has settled upon. I am the Engineering Manager for a group of four radio stations in San Diego, and we're looking at making the conversion sometime in 2005. It will be an improvement over today's FM, but it will not be CD quality as it will be highly digitally compressed. It should be competitive with XM and Sirius in terms of quality.
