I bought a Core2/MP100 a few weeks ago, and just got around to installing it a few days ago. My intended use for it is kind of the reverse of what you're doing; I wanted to use it mainly as an I/O expander and effects bus for the Digi001/ProToolsLE system installed in my Mac. Well, so far it's not going too well. The install went smoothly enough, all by the book, but it's just not working. The Windows Device Manager says it's working, but the Sounds and Multimedia Control Panel says "Driver is enabled but inactive due to an unknown problem." Interestingly enough, the wave driver for my voice modem says the same thing. The only wave driver that IS working is the one for the motherboard's onboard sound chip (creative/ensoniq 1373). I tried disabling this, both in BIOS setup and Device Manager, but it didn't help - just left me with no sound at all. Oh, well. That's how my Core2 adventure is going so far - I hope it picks up soon. --tboy
