Howard	Am I the first? Hi, First off, nice job on the site, well done! I just purchased one of the Fostex VC8 20 bit 8-channel analog/lightpipe converters. This plus the 4 analog ins of the Core2 gives me 12-channel input. It will be put to the test very soon as I'm starting a CD project mid-november. Will be recording: Drums Percussion (Congas & toys) Upright bass Nylon string & Electric guitar Vocals. Running the Core2 in a 850mhz PIII/VIA PC with 2 IBM 7200rpm 40gig drives. Plextor CDR, Turtle Beach Fiji w/Digital I/O. Had to modify the older VIA Apollo BIOS with a BIOS tweak utility to gain maximum performance. Runs great now, never and pops or clicks.
