| Soapbarstrat | Re: fun ! When you're ready to save it, press the 'print screen' key on your keyboard . It's on the very top row and over to the right on mine. Then you open the microsoft 'paint' program and click on the 'edit' box at the top left , then click on 'paste' . it will put that web-page in the box, then supposedly you can cut just the guitar out at that point, but I can't figure out how, so I just save the page as a bmp file, then open a photo program and there I know how to trim out just the guitar, then I change it to Gif or JPG. then onto my website which is almost full, but I don't even have everything I was planning to have on it. I'll reply to your other question here as well. I also don't like the typical strat sound much, but can never get as good a deal on a Les Paul type guitar that's made out of good wood. But I can get great MIJ strats made of good wood for $200-$300, plus they are more comfortable to hold, and they're built like a car. Something isn't right, it'll prolly come off by taking some screws off. It used to bother me that humbuckers were cancelling out part of the sound, so I got more interested in single coils. Eventually I happened to see some band on TV and the guy had a P-90 on a strat and I was amazed how the typical Les paul Jr sound was still there, even though it was a strat. So why not try it. It works well. It's not that great for an 80's metal sound, or a few other things. I'd also like to rig up a strat to sound like a Tele. I also like the strats to have a swimming pool rout, for some semi-hollow tone. I wish I had a better story like I was running through the park one day with my strat and a woman was running toward me with an LP junior and we collided and the soapbarstrat was born. Hell, maybe I'll still try that. |
