And you got me thinking about the auto mechanic comparison and I wonder if that has a lot to do with location, because when I lived in California, I came across some real bastard car mechanics, but I was just starting out in guitar repair and only dealt with Andy Brawer at 'Real Guitars' in Frisco and he seemed like a real cool guy. He sold me Dunlop fret-wire when I couldn't get it anywhere else and even gave me a free pickguard screw and said " have a good screw". Oh, but I just remembered that Torres is in Cal, so yeah there's some bastard guitar guys there for sure !
