newbieRe: 5150 problems?
i checked the cap and there was no resistance across it, so i desoldered it and there was still no resisitance. The amp took a fall from fedex, enough to drive the chassis into the cabinet. the power tubes have been replaced witha mtching set and i still got low volume and dirty sound. I then checked all the preamp tubes to no avail. so i checked the board for any signs. and while checking the caps the bias cap was the only one i could not get any reading off of. Granted i am a beginner, and i'm not sure my methods of checking the caps are correct. I've always been told to look for 15kohms or more in a electrolytic. is this correct.
