Prosonic with frying noise
I have a Fender Prosonic combo on my bench which is quiet for a while when cold. After warm-up it will make loud frying noises. It appears on both channels with the volume / resp. gain ctls down. I have narrowed it down to V2a and the tone stack (no noise w/all tone ctls down), but now I'm stuck.
Here is what I have done so far:
changed V2
changed R17 (plate resistor)
changed R18 (slope resistor)
Here is a section from the schematic:
Has anybody had this problem before? Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
