I've double checked the 6v6s I 've got and (along with the cheapo ones) I still have a pair of Mazda NOS tubes which should take high plate voltages with no problem ! Do you think the amp might get a bit too flabby with the cathode bias? I'm after the amp sounding and feeling different to my EL84 amp which has cathode bias and a ex81 recto. I guess I can try it out since I now have all the numbers ! I assume my maths wasn't too wrong in the previous post. thanks, Gareth.
