Dutch | Re: new spitfire Scott- Try putting in a 15V Zener, anode to ground, and hook the grounded end of the 120 or 130 ohm cathode resistor to the Zener's cathode instead of ground. Then hook up a 5k or 10k pot in parallel with the Zener, and hook the output tubes' grid resistors' ground to the pot wiper instead. This will give you easily adjustable bias, and you can then set the idle current where you want it, anywhere from the stock "way too hot" to the border of Class B....  Check out the schemo for the "Zener bias trick" on my site.
