How into woodworking are you? When you say "hand tools", what do you mean? There's a huge difference between butt joints and wood screws (my first head cab) and hand cut double blind dovetails in maple built using japanese chisels on a German joiner's bench. I built my last cab out of mahogany with a router to do the dovetails, but I could have gotten away with finger joints and hand tools.
