can anybody tell me how simul class work?
Excuse my ignorance...but i was wondering how simul class works in mesa boogie amps. i know they have four tubes, one pair in class A and the other in class AB, but i thought this was achieve by having a resitor in the cathode in one pair, to lift the cathode from ground making the grid "more positive", but schems shows a resistor ( 980k or 2m2) to ground from pin 5, and cathodes to ground. What's the purpose of this?. how can i implement it into a twin type amp?. Thanks a lot!!
