Hi Shea,

I was curious to know or check inside you'r JMP and tell us if one of you'r input jacks connects to a volume control like the 1980ish JCM 800 2204's do. They have three gain stages. I didn't think that any of the JMP's did. Maybe its the two gain stages that give the warmer less harsh over drive tone compared with the three stages of the JCM.

V1 a/b = 2gain stages
V2 a = 1gain stage
and
V2b is not a gain stage but a buffer for the tone stack am I right on this?
