Re: Bang a Gong
I think the concept of a Yahoo Group is a great one. After all, there is (was) a Dumble Group up and running about a year ago, but from what I can tell, it petered out.

Anyway, I'd participate. I even think Ken might participate (on a VERY, VERY limited basis). From the little I know:

1) Ken is VERY much for all guitar players to find a good tone. Ken freely offers advice, but remember, He does not feel well. I'd say it would be "OK" for some of us to call him on a very limited basis to ask "big topic" questions. Getting Ken on the phone is extremely hard....alot of times he's not feeling up to task. But, these are all my assumptions from what I know of the man.

2) A lot of people have asked me questions (especially now, I have a few e-mails in my mailbox) regarding mods and tweeks.....I'll get to them as best as I can. I will say this....I AM *NOT* AN AMP GURU!!! I'm not a Fischer, Dumble, Holger, Fuchs, RG Keen, K. Gilbert, or many of the other VERY talented amp builders on this (or other) forum. These guys KNOW what they are doing.....I'm just a hack. I cannot build your amp, or even things *I* suggest might only work for *me*. But, I can try and offer my experience. I'll get to those e-mails as soon as I can.

3) I like the "T-Rex" name for the Yahoo Group, too. Ken wouldn't like the name "Trainwreck" used....that would be a trademark infringement. As far as the individual circuits, last I knew, those are not legally protected (I forget the legal "jargon"). But, again, there is no *real* trainwreck schem. The ones at the Blue Guitar site are a basic starting point, but......
