Was just able to creep over to the PC today,  
been down with this nasty flue virus  
(if they get any better than this one we are  
all in serious trouble).  
 
I have heard that a gnd. loop in any circuit  
could be a source of unwanted noise.  
 
Figured it would still work if I broke  
it but was really wondering why someone  
would purposely put one in a circuit in  
the first place.  
 
I usually use a sheilded input jack and  
ground the chassis via the output jack  
to avoid any looping, also all ground  
points are built into the PCB when I  
make them up so I guess that is a star  
ground and it saves from overheating  
the pots.  
 
Leo Fender was not too worried about  
ground loops so I guess I should  
take a clue there also.
