brown sound in a box layout, why a gnd. loop?

Floyd	brown sound in a box layout, why a gnd. loop? Anyone know why there is a ground loop built into the layout of this pedal? http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/ go to distortion click on Brown sound in a box and look at the Ready-For-Transfer Printed Circuit Board Layout file. I thought this might make the pedal noisy based on what I have heard here and other places in the DIY community. Should it be broken or left as is when built? Thanks for any comments, Floyd H.

I thought this might make the pedal noisy
