| CharlieTheBeast | Re: flood of fulltones Mark, many fulltone buyers are as you describe. However, other people buy them because they are some of the best executions of old pedal designs available. Fulltone usually uses higher quality parts than available in the originals and builds them to last. Also, FT pedals are designed to add very little coloration other than the sound of the effect, and FT does a great job of preserving the tone of the guitar driving the effect. A quick scan of ebay a few minutes ago indicated that fulltone used prices are holding up as expected. Used fulltones are cheaper than those available brand new. Don't know why anybody would be surprised by this fact. Anybody buying a brand new guitar peddle for investment reasons is perhaps dreaming a little too hard. My own FD2 has a serial number in excess of 10,000. This seems to indicate that a lot of fulltones have been sold. I'm not a bit surprised that quite a few find their way into the used market. -c |
