| jsh | Impedance When I run my tubeman pedal straight into the preamp of my tubecombo, I get a very narsh sounding tone. With some EQ-ing, I can remove the overdosis of high frequencies. But unfortunally I have still a thin sounding distortion, instead of a powerful beast. When plugged straight into the poweramp (which it is designed for), I get a powerful distortion thats stands up in the band. Is the overdosis of high frequencies and the leak of bass, caused by the miss match of impedance? Are there easy ways to change the impedance back to the original (High) guitar value? [I do understand that the extra gain of the preamp will also cause a part of the problem] Regards Jsh |
