No, it doesn't REALLY sound like an acoustic, but it does almost make my Tele sound like a piezo'ed acoustic, the advantage being that you don't have to drag an Ovation along also. It can also be useful for tracking a clean part along with a more aggressive part on a recording. Kinda like Townsend. Get the clean attack, and the distorted chord. Haven't heard the Boss. I doubt any of them can totally fool someone with good ears. It does do something that seems to "spread out" chords, though I don't know what. And you can do some pretty wild stuff with it through other pedals. Also, try it on a bass or electric piano for a funky treat. Brad
