If it comes up easy, you can just start pulling it off. Re-tweeding isn't real tough to do. I've only done one cab and it came out pretty good. Weldwood or Elmer's work fine for glueing the tweed. A mess of small to medium plastic clamps is a big help, and a very sharp utility knife with snap off blades makes the corners go better. My wife's roller fabric cutter and fabric cutting board were nice to have around as well.
