You should build one with two goals in mind, 1. tone 2. rock solid construction Those are the only two things that will sell a clone for any kind of money. People buy Bruce's clones for those two reasons, but especially for the tone. I eliminate the plate for reason number 2 but as I said before, it is a minimal improvement, but in my mind an improvement none the less.
