Good to know the UL listing requirements. If I ever decide to attain a UL listing I'll move that one wire. I don't use the brass plate at all, but they make a great scarecrow if you have enough of them left over from your webervst chassis kit purchases. I prefer to ground all the pots and input jacks with a contiguous direct soldered buss wire, but everyone is different I guess. It's just that I don't like increasing the square inch surface of dissimilar metals touching each other (like the steel chassis and the brass plate) which sets up galvanic action and leads to corrosion that must be cleaned up periodically. This is probably not that big of a deal with a chromed chassis but it is a habit I have gotten into with the plain steel fender chassis.
