Aaron	Re: What's so special about the 5E3 with regards to pedals and this amp, it's actually a bit difficult to get pedals to work well with this amp. the overdrive is so easy to attain at any volume that anything but the shortest delay turns to big mush fast. distortion sounds ok but a little funny because you get first the distortion and then the amp's overdrive. this amp isn't as welcoming of effects as blackface fenders are. but man, the sound of my telecaster straight in is just killer. i know everyone has their favorite guitars and opinions about what sounds good with what, but it really seems like this amp was designed for the tele. the sound is too good to be just coincidence. but maybe i'm getting ahead of myself aaron
