I made a couple of alterations to the original circuit, including bias pot which was wired up much like a brown Princeton (which is virtually the same circuit anyways). There is a considerable volume drop from a Deluxe (18 to 20 watts) to a Vibrolux (10-12 watts), but it makes the amp that much more ideal for practicing at home and playing small clubs. Also, I wired in a line out, which works great for piggybacking amps together and such. For those who are reading, these are a few things to consider. Personally, there isn't a better Tremolo sound than a power tube bias trem. Lush, rich and intense. Awesome!!! Thanks, Darcy |
