| Andy | Re: vol control The following advise from Bruce in a prior message might help: "Check to make sure your 6V6 grid load resistors, (the pair of 220K ones), are grounded at their common point. If not, the power tubes don't have a bias relative to their cathodes. They will try to turn on fully at idle and can burn up if they draw too much idle current." |
