It says on the can it dries with a slight amber tint and that's what I was after. To me, the amber shellac is too dark and brown-even cut 50/50. My deluxe clone got really dark at the edge of the tweed but dried down to where it was barely noticeable. I waited a day or two between coats also. Tom
