If this is a real 5E3, I'd check the filter caps for a possible blown one, but first, have you tried a different set of power tubes and or the rectifier tube yet? A good tech, while working on the amp, could tell you positively if it was the OT... without "suspecting" anything!!! I think you need a second opinion. Bruce
