Robert | Tech in Phoenix area Hello... New to this Forum. Have a '55 5E3 that has conked out on me. It developed a hum in both channels. Instrument doesn't work when plugged in. The Rectifier tube plate seems to glow stronger than it has in the past. I checked all the tubes individually and all together. I unscrewed the side panel and used a plastic probe to check all the solder joints, nothing acted up. I'm not technically savy and would like to get it fixed as soon as possible as it's my favorite amp. Anyone know of a Tech or Repairperson who appreciates these little gems in the Phoenix area?
